Frequently asked questions
What happens to the selfie?
AgeRail uses the image only while the check is running. As soon as the check is complete, we permanently delete the selfie and all intermediate biometric data. We never store face embeddings, face hashes, or any identifier that could link sessions together.
Is AgeRail a compliance guarantee?
No. AgeRail is a technical service, not a legal opinion or compliance certification. Our signed results can support your age-assurance process, but your team remains responsible for the policies and checks that apply to your service.
How fast is a verification?
In May 2026 testing, the core check measured 0.706 seconds at warm p95. This is a measured result, not an SLA. The full user experience also includes camera permission, capture, upload, and network time.
What does an underage or uncertain user see?
The hosted page shows a neutral message and returns the user to your service. Your platform decides whether to block access or offer an alternative route.
How do credits work?
You add credits in advance. Each completed verification uses one credit. Your order defines how technical failures, refunds, and any volume commitments are handled.
